Modern, contemporary, and expressive, are words that describe the work of painter Megan Swartz. Influenced by urban culture, fashion and music, Megan conveys a message, or moment in the images she creates. "I was trained as a traditional figurative painter, but I mix images with patterns and/or deep saturated color to evoke new ideas with fresh appeal." Megan began her professional art career as a silk screen artist. She fell in love with the graphic and the bold shapes. Experimenting with new mediums and techniques, she developed a style all her own. These expressive paintings won her a spot in an influential Emerging Artist show which launched her career and introduced her to a new audience of individual and corporate collectors.
She currently lives, works, and exhibits in southern California.
