Born in 1986, Martin Benson lives and works in New Orleans. His work has been exhibited at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans, the New Orleans Museum of Art, and the Jazz and Heritage Foundation. In 2017, he completed a commissioned installation at the Aloft Hotel in downtown New Orleans. He was also commissioned by the New Orleans Arts Council to create a site-specific installation for the LUNA Fete Art festival in 2016. His work is held in numerous private and public collections across the country, including the recently built University Medical Center New Orleans, who purchased six of my large scale paintings to be on permanent display. His art is also included in the collections of MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX along with New York Presbyterian Hospital in NYC.
