Pooling fond memories from Saturday morning cartoons, comic strips and stuffed animals, self-taught paper artist, Laura Yager, creates collages inspired by a childhood spent in upstate NY. Years later, the Boise, Idaho artist has retained an unsinkable hope and cheerful outlook that produces bright and wonderfully whimsical artwork. Being an animal lover, Laura draws inspiration mostly from the animal kingdom. The limitless variety and personality of each individual creature speaks to her through vivid colors and bold patterns. And the sincere comfort, friendship and laughter animals bring into the world, is something she hopes is experienced in each scene created.
