In her recent work artist Jeanne Wassenaar is exploring the decorative elements of various familiar traditions and cultures, as well as her own, past and present and translated them onto canvas. Her work is mostly about experiences and experiencing, and the process of creating an image; a free exchange where the unconscious can react to what her consciousness perceives so that the image emerges as it wants and needs to.
