Arnie was born in Kenora, Ontario in 1949 and has worked and lived in many places in Canada as well as in Hong Kong and now lives in Richmond, British Columbia. He is a Realist and works in acrylics, oils, watercolor and graphite. He admires the work of Andrew Wyeth, the Canadian Group of Seven and many contemporary realists. He is influenced by the coastal scenery of the Pacific and the maritime atmosphere of the area in which he lives. His subject matter includes landscapes, wildlife and still life. He has also worked as a graphic designer, printmaker and muralist. His art is in collections in many countries.
