Susan is a designer and art director with a life-long passion for art, photography and typography. Her career began on Madison Avenue in magazine publishing and grew to specialize in digital imaging. She was an art director for Mademoiselle, Self, Vogue, J. Crew, and Paraphernalia. She managed websites, creating visual and written content for an NHL hockey team and the Gettysburg battlefield foundation. Retiring from the faculty of a college media communications program, Susan continued her creative adventure through publishing as well as ART-TYPE graphic design applied to apparel and home goods. She loves bold graphics and color inspired by the Bauhaus, Keith Haring, Franz Kline. And humor. Her favorite lunchtime foray was to watch Calder’s Circus at the Whitney Museum.
