Sandra Smith was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her high school art teachers gave her a great foundation in art but she headed in a different direction in University. After schooling in physical education, Sandra returned to her love of painting and for the last 20 years has been working in a variety of media encompassing all aspects of the contemporary art market. "Painting for today's art markets keeps you on your toes, and I enjoy the different subjects and media that are required to stay current."
